This was a great idea while the HD wars were going on, and if you still need a player this might be worth considering- but I would really recommend a real standalone player.

Ok, but not what I intended on.
I know HD DVD is dead. I have lots of dvd-rs with .avi movie files on them otherwise known as data discs or as the Xbox 360 reads them mixed media discs.
